I feel sure that sooner or later you’re gonna get fed-up seeing me post every day, but as you say, persistence is a key element in marketing!
Anyway, kinda answering Sarah AND addressing the squeeze page issue in a different way, I have something for you.
As you know, a squeeze page is can also be in the slightly different form of a splash page.
Sarah, a squeeze page is a very important part of your business. It’s the front-line of your website. On this page that you direct your traffic to, you have some “meaty” information about what you’re doing in your business, but not too much info. You tell your reader that if they want more information they have to “take action” and fill in your autoresponder form that’s sitting on your “squeeze page”. That being the page that they are reading.
That’s when Tellmans tip (hey, that’s a great title for something man, Tellmans Tips!) come in with the series of autoresponder messages to sell stuff.
Anyway, the tip “I” have involves the “splash page”.
If any readers of this blog ever use free traffic exchanges, they will know that usually they will get all the conversions that you normally get for free…none.
The main reason for this is that the time limit on these traffic exchanges is very short. People seeing your page on a manual traffic exchange will only have 10-15 seconds to see your site and decide if they are going to see more of it. Mostly they won’t click on your site because it’s barely loaded before the time is up.
But the splash page is a solution. If you make a snappy, eye-grabbing page that loads fast and has a “click here” link in plain view, your chances of getting someone to stop surfing and look at your site goes up quite a lot.

And Tellman, I’d love you to comment on my idea. Am I right in using this method on the traffic exchanges? Or am I blowing smoke?
Oh and the Turducken idea goes way back in history. The grandest ones used to start with a quail in the inside and work up to a swan on the outside (in the days before the Queen became owner of all swans in England and it became illegal to kill them).

Tellman, I notice a just a “slight” trembling to the video. May I suggest a portable tripod for the flipcam that can easily grip onto anything so your hands are free. The arms of the tripod actually curl and are flexible. The video then would be less shaky and easier to watch. Thanks Tellman.

I use to use traffic exchanges years ago, got very few sign ups, most were freebies looking for freebies hard to get those types to buy anything.
I am trying again, just to see what happens with some of the improved splash pages.

Anyway, I’d like your input on whether I should make this a free membership site or paid for only $5/month first 50 then $10/month after that? Or keep it free membership and have products for sell in the back office.

Choosing a program to get into without a large investment that will work now but also several years from now is important. Here are a couple of suggestions.
Any program that wants you to join just because they have told you it is great and wonderful but won’t tell you what they sell or they do until you join walk away from.
Any program that wants you to join right now and if you don’t join right now you are going to lose the opportunity to make money by tomorrow, walk away from.
Any program that you look at that there is not a way to email and ask someone a question even if it is the person that referred you to the program, don’t walk away, run away from it.
A good legitimate program will tell you what it is up front, they will not use high pressure to get you to pay up right now or never get a chance to make this much money again type of sales.
A good legitimate program will have a way for you to ask someone a question before you join.
My suggestion before you join anything is to look around and find someone that you can relate to that knows what they are doing and either PM them or email them and ask them to help you. There are a lot of successful marketers out there that would be willing to do that. A good place to find someone is to spend sometime on some good forums. A good mentor in this business will save a a lot of time and money.

I understand the whole frustration thing- been there, done that, I’ve even designed the T-shirt. 14 of my sites were recently hacked. I’ve had far worse than a 509 error happen to me- maybe we’ll swap stories sometime. ^_^
That is one reason I have a second hosting account to throw stuff on just in case. I also have monitoring software so that I know when a site/page is down.
I enjoy your videos, just wish the video wasn’t so jerky. maybe you’ll get a bot cam that follows your movements for Christmas?

Great answer to the Traffic Exchange. I certainly found out the way most did – that TEs suck. What I don’t understand is why prominent marketers like James Grandstaff will put up a membership site and base the “traffic getting” strategy on TEs? It is, dollar for dollar, a HUGE waste of time, to sit around TEs and surf for points. You leverage nothing there, and get few signups, and nary a sale! Your time is gone, and nothing gained but a few visitors to your site that are doing the same thing as you
So my question is, for people on a low budget, trying to get the most traffic return for the effort (both in dollars and time spent), where should they focus there effort?
I have been doing article marketing, blogging, and creating an inbound link network. The three of these are intertwined for maximum results. The process is slow, and time consuming for someone like me, that cannot yet afford to outsource these efforts.
Is this smart? Is this a good answer to the questioned posed above?

I have followed instructions as you had provided in one of your Video Tutorial, “how to create a Squeeze page, and published. The Squeeze page needs lot of edting and I just know how do?
I have manage to publish the web site, but I am sorry but I dont know how to edit my new web site, nor to I know how to delete my new squeeze page..
I registered the domain with Godddy, hosting with hostgator, using NUV Editor, as recomendated and SmartFTP, and Aweber for auto responder, but I am stuck and need help.

I would first like to ask whats up with that hat? Ok now that I got that out of the way I would like to address Bruces letter and your response.
Bruce yes using splash pages on traffic exchanges is more effective than not, the most effective use of them though is using a squeeze page and building your list.
Tellman, you mentioned that using TE’s are useless but consider one thing that you also mentioned.
They are often the first step for someone new coming online, in fact there are hundreds of new members coming in everyday.
If you are trying to get people to the next level from there all you have to do is put in a squeeze page get them on your list and provide training.
So to completely dismiss the amount of potential new members coming in that could be funneled into your own business is a bit crazy to me.
Im not saying it is the end all be all but should definitely be something everyone should have in their arsenal.
Ok after all of that I do actually have a question. You say that traffic exchanges are level one. What do you consider level 2?
