Dear Telman, I have just finished watching your video and thought i would write and let you know i dont have a problem with your emails, they just look the same as they always did :-) )
Anyway reason for getting in touch is because this morning i was sent an email from traffic swarm, Take a look at the link, I dont know if you have heard about this website but it could be very bad for lots of marketers, and as im hoping to get into this business i would like to hear what you think

Take care & stay safe

Thanks Tellman, we found that if you use FCKedit then you can update your fckconfig.js and then it will automatically use BRs

Change this from ‘p’ to ‘br’:

FCKConfig.EnterMode = ‘br’;

We just updated our ESP to default to ‘br’.

Thanks for the input Telman… I did notice this quite awhile ago… since, I test all my html emails with yahoo, gmail, msn, live… etc. I found this problem… the solution, well it was a bit of hair pulling… but I did find it… since, I am bald… it was quite painful..

Thanks for helping people keep their hair.. :-)

fortunately, I am a lucky one I look better bald.. :-)

Keep up the good work, mate..

Weird, none of my emails ever come through all squashed on my GM a/c, I wonder why?

Hey Tellman,

Here is the link to my VIDEO question:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqZTXmbll04

My question is about list/email services. I noticed that you have several different list services that you use. Are you doing this on purpose? My lists are getting big. I back them up all the time, but I worry about what would happen if aweber should tank…

Why do you use several different services? What are your thoughts?

Sincerely,

Mark Ewing

Hey Tellman, I too have not had this problem with gMail, so I am not sure if it’s just select gMail accounts or perhaps the email service you are using or something else all together.

Also, a side note to those who use your advice, if I may… One thing to keep in mind with the “soft return” is that when you use it, all “text alignment” formatting remains the same.

In other words, if you have a paragraph that you want to have it centered, all paragraphs before and after the soft returns will also be centered.

Also, using the soft return will also disable the usage of “header tags” , , etc…

I do have 2 suggestions. 1 for novices and 1 for those who know HTML…

Novice users could simply input a “dot” or “dash” on the empty lines and change the color to white, or the same color as the email background color, so they will not appear when the recipient views the email.

Experienced HTML users should use a div tag with the border element ( or something similar… This should also ensure proper spacing…

I apologize if I overstepped my boundaries by posting this, however, as I said, these are 2 additional alternatives to your “soft return” method…

Hi Tellmun

Thanks for the information. I have not noticed this yet so I will head over and test it out. Your emails always seem to come through fine.
Thanks

Most definitely have been noticing this! And you are right, it looks terrible and makes reading more difficult.

Thanks for the tip.

p.s. Never EVER send me emails whose subject lines do not answer the question WIIFM? There. Now you know what got me to watch this video, as well as why so many of your emails I never open. And… you’re welcome.

Hi Tellman, I signed up from you like for the MJ free tips, but even though they asked if I wanted notification of spots coming up, it forced me to say YES or it wouldn’t go through.

That was a bit strange! Anyway, you said in your email to come back here and let you know about the text on the mj page.

It was GREAT – couldn’t be better – it was free, a good thing : ) and the testimonials were unimpeachable.

It is a MOST EXCELLENT way to increase your mailing list for SURE.

But, the more i sign up for these things, the more I realize that all the good advice in the world doesn’t help most of us.

Reason? I’m not sure. But what i am learning is that gurus will continue to make many millions, while most of us ordinary folk will eek out a bare minimum.

I am learning that there are winners and losers.

But after Michael Jackson with ALL his money (hundreds millions) was SO unhappy, and my friend who is poor is SOOO happy, I’m not so sure that making TONS of money is what i really want.

IF i had been rich a few years ago, I would have been a terror of a kid on the road to destruction.

From Michael I have learned that there are powerful forces in this world to wear you down, tear you down, addict you, control you. EXPECIALLY when you are rich.

I follow you because you are such a character and was totally happy when you are helping teens who are dying, being killed and suffering coming from terrible homes.

Tellman, i LOVE YOU for that!!!

Please be greatful (and grateful) for all you have – your wonderful abilities.

As for me, I don’t have such abilities, so will NEVER be as successful moneywise as you! Or Mark Joyner!

So, I’m a sort of loser, and i recognize that people like you are winners.

Okay Tellman, thank you for your free videos! And i will continue to dream about success on the Internet! :D

Thanks for the Video Tellman – I’d noticed that on my emails but wasn’t sure why it had happened.

Now I know and can fix it!

Cheers – Dave

Tellman,
Thanks for this explanation about the why the emails appear smashed It didn’t occur to me to call yahoo and ask them why so thanks for letting me know what is causing the problem making the top half of my emails look all squished together at the top by the mail address

Peace
